Note: In October 1974 were Famagusta, Kyrenia and Karavostassi and the Ercan airport by the government of Cyprus declared illegal ports of entry. Anyone who arrives here may not be in the southern part of the island to travel further. Further information from the Cyprus Tourism Center (see addresses).

PLANE: Cyprus' national airline is Cyprus Airways (CY). Over 38 international airlines offer flights to Cyprus.

Average flight times: Frankfurt - Larnaca: 3 hr 45; Vienna - Larnaca: 3 hours 15; Zurich - Larnaca: 3 hr 45th

International airports: Larnaca (LCA) is located 5 km south of the city. Hourly buses to the city center (journey time 15 min). At the airport, there are two banks (24 hour open), a post office, duty-free shops, car rental desk, tourist information, hotel reservations, bars and restaurants. Taxis are also available.
Paphos (PFO) is located 15 km east of the city (25 minutes). At the airport there is a duty-free shop, car rental desk, a bank / exchange office, bars and restaurants.
Ercan (ECN) is located 12 km east of Nicosia (20 minutes travel time) in Northern Cyprus (Turkish part) and is mainly used by Turkish Airlines flights.

SHIP: shipping companies from Greece, Israel, Egypt and Italy to run the island. Cyprus is also under way cruises. Further information from the Cyprus Tourism Center (see addresses).
From Girne and Famagusta in northern Cyprus after ferries operate Mersin and Antalya (Turkey).
Several Kreuzfahrlinien run Cyprus, including Classical Cruises, Cunard Line, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Swan Hellenic Cruises and Louis Cruise Lines (website: www.louiscruises.com).
